The models dynamically track how cells transition through stages — from initial construction and active filling, through interim and final capping, to long-term rehabilitation — reflecting how leachate volumes change as the site evolves. Climate data is integrated directly into the model, allowing forecasts under current conditions and future climate scenarios to support infrastructure planning that accounts for changing rainfall patterns.
